That's great Kathy, Oh it will be lovely to have some of your beautiful flowers, thank you so much.
Love the colour of the String Bikini, but the name is fab, the name are just brilliant for these plants. That is a really nice colour on the Judge Roy Bean.
The Judge Roy Bean picture makes me think of starfish in the sea for some strange reason
A few of my doubles today, the spiders always used to be my favourite but the doubles are really growing on me, some are double from the start but others take a year or two to settle before showing their double form.
Land of Cotton, love this one and double from the start.
Solid Geometry, another that has double flowers from the start, flowered for weeks this year.
Flamboyant Edges, this one took a couple of years before showing its double form and it should get even better than this but the single flowers were lovely too
Exploded Pumpkin, still waiting (3 years now) for this to show its fully double form, aaaah one day.
I can't believe what I'm seeing. I have a day lily in a wishy washy peach so when I see the words I just glaze over. It was from the previous owner and it fills a great big hole of which there are many in my garden. Yours are absolutely stunning.I ahd no idea there was such variety and beauty in day lilies. I'm smitten! The Lady Neva and Judge Roy Bean are right up my favourite colour scheme street! Well done you on your beautiful plants!
Kathy your right they do make you think of starfish, the doubles do look great. Land of Cotton is really nice, the colours in all these are lovely but the colour in Flamboyant Edges is very pretty. Hopefully next year will be the year for Exploded Pumpkin to flower in double form.
Plant pauper, I never knew there were so many different daylilies, But Kathy has so many and she is tempted me more and more with all of these. The colours are stunning.
Aaaaw thanks plant pauper if I can convert more people to growing these lovely unfussy plants I'll be a happy lady, they've come on so much in recent years from those oranges and yellows, but beware they can become very addictive , I have nearly 200 now, not including seedlings.
Thanks Lorna, yes fingers crossed that pumpkin explodes next year ,
What is wrong with you people? Hostafan tells me she has 300 hostas and you have a squillion day lilies. Tomorrow, first thing, I'm going out to count my grass!!! The only things I have in hundreds are buttercups.
Hahaha I was in remission only bought 1 this year! but then it came with a bonus plant and I swapped 5 with a friend it would have been rude to say no they were very nice ones , he's just sent me a long list again I just want them all!!
