100 acres!!! oh my goodness I wouldn't know where to start! all that space though lucky you, the gardens here just get smaller and smaller it's a case of lets see how many houses we can cram into this space, there's a house not far from us that was demolished and there's now a whole new steet in its place.

Lorna I'm the same with flowers all the space we have and nowhere for veg so we have an allotment too just at the bottom of our garden which is very handy, its my hubby's domain well half of it the other half (and any bit I can pinch when he's not looking image) has my seedlings on it my thinking is its saving him a lot of work, no really its far to big to grow veg for us the half provides veg for us and our daughters.

Glad your enjoying the pictures loooooads more .

I love the witches, keep the photos going!

Re the 100 acres, I know it sounds huge, but it just bush land. I have an idea that 100 acres is the minimum block that you are allowed to build a house on.   It's just rough country, not even good enough for our goats (which we used to have, but they needed supplementary feeding.)  I'll post a couple of photos for you to get an idea.

A sneakily little waterfall across the valley from the house.

This old eucalypts has a honey bee nest in the side - sorry, a bit hard to see.

Pat that must be lovely to see a waterfall from the house.

Kathy I love these witches daylilies, I can't believe there are so many different ones, keep the photo's coming, it makes me want more and more. My husband is not bothered about gardening but he is very good when I need his help, He built all the shelving in my greenhouse, he has built me fencing and built a arch way, tomorrow he is laying a new patio, so I get the help with none of the interference, just the way I like it image, He does point out the odd flower that he says he like and he does have some good ideas but only some.image

Oh yes see what you mean Pat, all that wide open space though, talking of honey bees we had a swarm in the early summer Rob (OH) came out from making a coffee they were hanging like a cloud over the pond amazing sight they then all collected in a nearby tree a few flew off in another direction, the scouts obviously, I have a picture I'll find it, I spoke to a friend who's a bee keeper and he said they'd leaves between 11 and 5 the next day sure enough 11 o'clock they'd all gone.

Robs just the same Lorna! he's good and designing border shapes and patios like your hubby and I do all the planting, he cuts the grass too, and no matter how much you garden it never looks anything unless the grass is cut does it image

Of all my dayliles there's only one he recognises and loves and that's a huge flowered (10inch) yellow called 'Big Bird'.

We're the same. Hubby does the grunt work for me if I can't manage. He has the advantage of a ride-on mower and a tractor so it's not as onerous as it sounds.

    lovely photos again, Kathy.image

Crikey Pat he could go out on it in the morning and you wouldn't see him for a week!image

My Hubby tried out a friends sit on mower with the idea of buying one but even though the gardens terraced now its still a bit of a slope, got going and couldn't stop!

Lovely photo's Kathy, missed coming on here yesterday seeing them. My husband would love a ride on lawnmower but our garden is not big enough for one of them. Mind you my grass area is getting smaller and smaller as my flower borders keeps getting bigger and bigger image

Keep the flowers coming I love seeing them.xx

Hello everyone. I'm still amazed at the varieties of daylillies. So many and all beautiful. I've asked a friend who goes to a monthly garden club to ask if anyone has any Daylillies they would like to swap.  It'll be interesting to see if there are any people interested. image
