So glad that there's other people similarly inflicted with the need to buy plants! After a trip to a garden show a couple of weeks back where I bought 8 plants, I decided I needed to fill in a few more gaps in the garden and when to the local garden centre and came back with 5 more!

My other half is now threatening to get me some therapy. That's until I point out all the little things he buys for his cycling hobby.... image

Ah well Tooey, if you have been watching the garden shows lately they have been talking about gardening AS therapy! So tell ya OH to save his pennies and spend it on some bicycle clips! image and get yourself back down the garden center! image

It rained heavily sunday so I volunteered to do the shopping at Tescos.

one of my favourite planterys a short detour on the way home.

my banana plant did not survive winter hence the justification for its purchase,

a shady bed with bare patches, where Epimediums grow in spring needed two hostas,

my canna Lily was lonely, so five more purchased, one of each variety, it's so hard to make a decision when there is a choice.

two ginger Lily's to go with the cannas

    And finally two arum lilies.

spent more on plants than on food.

    i am not a plantaholic.

AWB, that combo of hostas, gingers, cannas and arums sounds just my cup of tea.

I'd love to see them when they're planted.

I went out on Friday bought various pots in the sale, (as we didnt go to Hampton Court) that would have cost more than the pots, they werent hidden (impossible!!) Hubby saw a couple asked me where I bought them, told him, THEN he saw, all of them was talking to my garden minded neighbour, he came up and had a go at me, (in front of her) said Id obviously spent 2 ot 3 hundred pounds, no I hadnt possibly would have been that pre-sale.Had to go to the Dental Hygenist, she was horrible, young, tossy hair type looked more like she should have been a beauititian, very rough, awfull bedside manner. Dentist I saw the other day was lovelly, (went private cos of severe dental phobia) Said I was having a panic attack, suggested, very uninterested I might spend a couple of minutes in the waiting room, said Id rather be outside, well, panic attack or what!!! (Havent had one for over 40 years) lasted 2 hours, was rushing round town, (that I know well,) couldnt get my bearings, nothing looked familiar, went into Tourist info, taxi rank, finally Samaritans, Yup, thats my big confession (of plantaholic) said I had got lost, what a lovelly lady, she said yes, and WHAT else is going on in your life?

Justifiable I'd say Nanny as you missed the show! No explanation needed!

So today I visited Helmingham Hall gardens, beautiful pictures that I have posted on the gardens we have visited thread. It was truly stunning, really my kind of garden, jam packed with pollen providers and buzzing with bees and butterfly's!

Took my own cakes for myself and papa womble, cherry and orange drizzle muffins at a lot cheaper than the 3 quid they wanted for the cake there!

So with this frugal minded saving, I managed to justify the following........

    Salvia summer red jewel, x2

    Verbina Homestead purple

    Penstemon riding hood purple

    Lauentia axillaris starshine blue

    Phlox paniculata red Caribbean

    Phlox paniculata watermelon punch image

Very reasonable prices I must say!

Think my hubby is glad we don't have joint bank account all the same tho image

Forgive me fellow plantaholics for I have sinned.

This evening hubby noticed two new plants in the garden, despite the fact that I had promised I would spend no more on the garden this side of the holiday.

I'm afraid I panicked and told him that I had done a swap with someone on the forum.image

I know I should have told the truth but I couldn't resist the plants, they were a bargain and I didn't want to admit my plantaholism (is that a word - if not it should be)
