Yviestevie, we, all us plantaholics understand, its good to talk, anyway, they dont count, they arent plants as yet. I planted Tuberose this spring in a pot (because it says they are not fully hardy) they are just getting their flowers, that seems a bit late, anyone know? By my front door I have Acidathera bulbs, (for the gorgeous smell) they havenet got flowers either, I am sure they usually flower before now.
That makes me feel much better Yvie, I have spent a fortune on more Tulips this year, plus lots of other bulbs, as I always think I will be able to fit them in somewhere.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
punkdoc I could probably find you a place in MY garden for your tulip bulbs if you are strapped for space! Ah, thanks Yviestevie, They have got the flowers, but not open yet, mind you am so blocked up, I cant smell anything anyway. Perhaps with a new puppy, that is a blessing!!!
hi, I have one out of 12 acidanthera in flower, and 3 emerging flowers out of 6 tuberose planted. I think they are all delayed by the cold weather Nanny Beach. I am awaiting delivery on several hundred bulbs right now, my first year in the garden and the first time for planting things that will flower in spring. Really exciting!
Rosa Violet Carson, hello, is that your real name its amazing, if so course you would have to like gardening!. I live 10 minutes from the sea opposite the South Downs, in East Sussex. Our summer was very dry, a lot of sun, especially May, June, July, have 5 water butts which were empty a long time. Often, I would drive to work (or my Husband home) it would be raining a couple of roads away, nothing here.. I remember 20 odd years ago, we moved into a (local authority) house with a big garden, the elderly lady hadnt managed to touch for years, we lived there 6 weeks before we could even get down the garden. Bought a big sack of daffs to plant nearly killed me. We are on clay here so once it dries out its like trying to get through rock to plant anything. That plus roots from the trees already here. All I have planted in the bulb line this year, is Ornamental Alliums. Most of my bulbs are in pots. nutcutlett, are the trees fairly small, could you put them in pots?

My name is Yvie and I am a plantaholic.
After giving myself a good talking to I thought I had convinced myself that I did not need any more bulbs this year.
£50 worth of daffs and tulips later I fear I have failed.
