Wonky, I know, but its HIM that has to get fixed.  If I mention it when hes in a bad place, I am accused of making him worse, if I mention it when hes in a good phrase, I am reminding him of it, and yup making him worse. Unfortunately, caused by his Mother walking out, (going off with the lodger, when he was 6)  Hes from Sarf London (and a bloke) so thats 2 stumbling blocks, he did see a hypnotherapist a few years back, BUT did not continue, had all usual antidepressants etc. Talking of sarnie flavours, I suggested BLT excersises to  our youngest who wants to build up muscle, she thought that was a sandwich (not if you dont eat meat like me)  My Hubby screams at the TV when there is football on!!!!

We can't do right for doing wrong Nanny! image

I was put on anti depressants at 15 it was the trend then, even then I asked my doctor wasn't feeling crap a natural reaction to when things are a bit rubbish, and he still put me one them! I found it just made me unmotivated and not care! Took myself off but it took twelve years to do so! Found they don't fix things but mask the problems but understand some people need protection from their own negative thoughts. I do hope he wants to get motivated into getting some help so you can enjoy your retirement together image

I simply don't have the money to go to flower shows etc so have to enjoy them from TV and try to recreate them on the cheap hense the plant reduction stand addiction! image

i kind of wandered off on my way to the bank, you have to go 'one way' to the bank so stopped at morrisons (palm & clematis) then you have to go to bank which leads to the roundabout, then you have a dilemma of going home or going to garden centre oops missed the turning home and ended up up garden centre. image My husbands used to me wandering off to the gc, i filled the trough and forgot again not to water it until in place, i managed to get it up on the roof of the potting shed but it was so heavy so i moved it on my shoulder to the top of the wall, then got OH to moved on top of rhubarb planter egde then back to it's final resting place of the roof of the potting shed hahahaha

WonkyWomble, no we arent enjoying our retirement, together. hes younger than me 58, so has some years to go.  He only took the antidepressants for about a week, made him feel ill.  He used to take Diazepam when really bad, but the Docs arent

allowed to prescribe it now. He veers between, yes, motivated, and "Ive always been like this, nothing helps."

sanjy67, thanks for message, I also bought that palm in Morrisons a few weeks ago, and a couple of Acers got into the trolley in there, somehow!

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • my name is Claire and I am a plantaholic.

I have blackspot in my garden so should not buy roses.

but there were some of my favourite rose , the fairy, and it was a rambler and it was only £4.50, I couldn't help myself!

I hid it and haven't told anyone and today I planted it at the side of my summer house, where I am sitting on my photo.

I can pick the little leaves off when and if they do get black spot, I do this with one in a container and I can just about keep it o.k.

but a rambler?!!  what was  I thinking??????

Just embrace the urge! Tend your rose and just say you've had it ages Claire!

Your are amongst like minded souls here that won't breath a word! image
