Garden has been put to bed for the winter pretty much. The annual geraniums I leave in, they do very well over winter and come back next year as long as there isn't too much snow and I have some aquilegias to put in (£2 each from Morrisons - bargain) I do love aquilegias in April and lots of them.
My husband has to chop all those logs at the bottom of the garden and we have the mulberry tree to plant and that's it other than a couple more mowings and collecting leaves for the compost. Might go down to the beach and get some buckets of seaweed for the compost too.
Wow, RB, you were a busy bee. Bet you ache now after carrying all those slabs.
I popped out in the garden after lunch and potted up some geraniums to see if I could over winter them in the shed. Took a fee cuttings too. Brought in my ......oh heck forgotten what its called....thats in a pot and put in on the conservatory windowsill. Weeded and dead headed. They forecast a frost at the weekend
I bought some tatties this morning. When I got them home and opened the bag they were smelly and part rotten like blight. I took them back, then went up the garden and dug up some neglected volunteers. I think they are one of the Sarpo varieties. They made lovely roasties.
I picked some beans to have with them, but beans have not been plentiful this year. Onions out of the garden and the last of the tomatoes out of the greenhouse. They went nicely with a bit of steak and a glass of red wine.
I planted some aquilegia seeds. Not much gardening, but satisfying nonetheless
Nice echeveria.SGL I had some left outside last year, in the ground but under the eucalyptus. They looked a bit tatty by Spring, but have come back well. The variegated Agave americana, however collapsed into a mushy mess. Little ones in the greenhouse survived. Sometimes I think it depends on how wet they get.

We don't have a green house either RB, but out shed is a potting shed with a nice big window. So hopefully they will survive in there.

Thank you fidget. I managed to over winter it last year in the conservatory, so thought I'd do it again. Its had a couple of babies this year too.
Our garden gets quite wet in winter. But I've kept it in a pot all summer anyway. I have it sitting on the garden table.
