Planted shooting daff bulbs found yesterday, also washed pots Steve noticed I seem to have lots of odd sizes and not to many 3" and of course they are the ones I need to do my potting on. Sat outside with a cuppa making the most of the day outside.
Fab day - emptied number 2 compost bin onto borders - they look great with the dark stuff - blackbirds and robins zoomed in to feast on the wiggly worms from the compost. Hacked down and back a form of cotoneaster that was getting out of hand. It now looks like a bad hair day but I guess it will soon fill out again. Going to be wet and cold tomorrow so glad I managed to work in the garden today.
Nut - looks like you are having a fight with dead stuff. What a lot of snowdrops too.
Obelixx your cakes sound spectacular. Perhaps I could filch a recipe or two from you? I have 3 boys with a healthy adoration of cake.
Its was a stunning day yesterday, warm with the promise of Sping in the air. I spent an hour looking at weeds trying to decide whether they were indeed weeds or not.
Then had a good tidy round, washed up pots, dug up 3 lavender bushes they were far too woody, and just generally enjoyed being out in the garden again, and so excited about the coming year in the garden, that I was ready to pop.
Mind you today its mizzly drizzly, but OH talked me into going to our local nursery to buy two new pots (clever girl, that I am).
Moved a huge Clematis to better spot; tied in some climbing roses; under-planted a climbing rose with Euonymus Emerald Gaiety and planted a shaped Box in a terracotta pot. Rain stopped play
Charlie Gunnera will love wet and boggy depends if you want a giant umbrella Darmera are a mini type version dunno if you'd want either as a centre piece.

Forester, I'm always having a fight with something. This is much better than the blackthorn and brambles.
In the sticks near Peterborough
I sat in a conference hall with no windows and air conditioning on so it was colder than a freezer...... all day. Humphhhh.
Oh Tootles - it must make you sick reading about all our gardening activities while you were stuck in the workhouse.
