So glad I went out today - only did a bit more clearing and tipped the veggy stuff into the compost bin but then discovered the first snowdrops and that makes it all worthwhile...and seeing buds on the oregon grape mahonia....but will go out again later when this coffee has warmed me up.
Not sure if getting moss off a path by scrapping with a shovel counts as gardening but I did it. Took an hour as its a very long path ! Back hurting now so on settee finding my way round this site ????. Any idea how to kill moss off anyone ? I cannt do that again !
I've walked around looking at things, especially my lovely hellebore Tutu and then I encouraged OH to smell the Vib. Bodnantense 'Charles Lamont'. Then I picked some rosemary and bay leaves and stood and admired my Cyclamen coum - is that gardening?
Oh, and I refilled the birdbath and put more birdfood out
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Have used boiling water to get rid of moss on drives.......it turns brown and will disappear eventually......have used expensive chemicals before.....they seem to do the same,
Today I leafed through the "RHS Gourmet Vegetable" book which I was given for Christmas and marvelled at some of the things which I hadn't know you could eat - like dahlias, day lilies and hostas. That's almost gardening, isn't it?

Thanks fidget
. It sounds amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing your pic. I tried googling but just came up with 'spacey' things.
You sound very organised nut
I am organised at sowing time Lesley.
Things get out of hand when they all need pricking out and potting on. The garden needs attention as well and I've not got enough hands.

That's gardening Angie, no doubt about that.
The best way to deal with moss on a path is to decide you like it

Bitterly cold so no gardening. Filled up bird feeders and cleaned out the hen house.
There is so much do. Think I'll look at seed catalogue again.
