Its raining here too Rosemummy So I'm taking pen to paper and planning what needs to be moved and to where, and what's going in next. This morning I checked my autumn plan and it seems that I have done pretty much everything on my list, which basically was correcting the mistakes I had made last year. e.g too many lovely plants to choose from and the borders end up looking a mish mash.
Third Box Ball in the ground plus sleeping Spirea moved. Some ground work also and rescued and divided a perennial Foxglove. Postman delivered 5x Iris Cable Car. YAY
Far too soon - couldn't wait any longer! Sowed a small pot of gaillardia "Sundance" seed. They'll all be far too long and spindly and I shall have to sow again in a month or so.
Also braved the weather to pick a small posy of snowdrops to cheer myself up!
Me too. I have been out to prune some more clems and plant some impulse pots of purple crocus in a bigger display pot but it is perishing out there today so, apart from walking the dogs I am retreating indoors.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Two days ago I cleared up a lot of the dead mess in the veggie garden the far side of the GH, like sweet peas, the rest of the sweet corn stalks and the remains of the courgettes and squashes. Should have done it ages ago Then I dug most of the bit for broad beans, earth was heavy and claggy. I have a bad cold, thought fresh air and exercise would do me good, but was knackered the next day and did nothing.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Frank, you did make me smile.about your dad use of the sitting room, and then doing exactly the same yourself. I like your style.
No chance today, the weather is awful and I'm in recovery mode after the last two days of gardening frenzy.

I wish there was a 'like' button, just love the snowdrop posy.

No gardening today apart form clearing all the stuff I hacked the other day. Driving sleet has stopped play.
