    More rotavating image

Also started to dig trenches along the lines where I'm putting a new patio, lots of earth to move this year to make room for the hard core. Lovely weather here today though, so enjoying it even if it seems like very hard work. image

I'm amazed my Geranium  "Reflections" seeds have started to grow only been in about five days.

Loads of others well on the way too.

If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.

I've potted on some white foxglove seedlings and then dug up a large clump of herbaceous geraniums which were taking over!  Have split the clump and will put on Freegle, I don't need any more geraniums! Also split and replanted a large clump of snowdrops. Lovely sunny day here today (Bath).

sowed seeds, filled beds with topsoil ( well OH did the filling ) and did a little light weeding.

Highlight of the day was trying out the garden shredder I found on freecycle. It works  a treat. I'm so thrilled with it.

    Devon.
  • Bought some top soil and multi purpose compost from Wickes and dug over veggie plot. Pruned clematis and lavatera took a bashing. Turning soil in the borders tomorrow if weather stays fine. Resisting cutting grass but not for much longer...

Pruned and weeded a shrub bed which has lavenders, caryopteris, and a big sambucus Black Lace. Sowed more seeds, flowers and herbs. Lots of seeds germinating now in the GH.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Planted a Sweet Box that has been sitting on the patio for about 5 weeks.  I also cut back the ivy and moved a couple of plants.  A beautiful day here, so I took time out to actually sit in the garden and enjoy it for an hour or so.

We've been above freezing the last couple of days and the snow is starting to melt back enough that I can actually see some of the edges of the beds.  Took a walk about today and found some green things poking their noses out.  I saw some crocus, daffodils and I think the tiny tips of my peonies are up!  I am thrilled!
