Jo, I imagine you get weather effects from the snowdon range as well as from the coast. Interesting!
there's a strange correlation between your seasonal change and mine, I've had to start watering yesterday as well. As well as holding hoses, left the soaker hoses going for ages. We've had rain predicted for days, but only half a mil so far In three days.
We're in a very steep-sided valley here, and an hour or so ago we had almost continuous lightning and thunder rolling round the hills. Quite awe-inspiring - but I'm glad we were indoors...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
While I'd like rain, I could do very well without the loud thunder thank you, you can have that. Believe it not, we have fine misty rain at the moment - it's just started. Hurrah!
Gardened more or less all day yesterday. My gardener was also here. With a couple of breaks to take the dogs for a walk and for lunch. We had heavy rain last night but it's a lovely day today with a bright blue sky and a strong breeze and so I'm hoping it will dry things up as I've a last length of hedge I want to get trimmed and tidied up now that the birds have finished nesting in it. I've also got one area of lawn to do which is relatively easy as it's a job with the ride on mower round a load of shrubs.
Hello Beaus Mum! Lovely to "see" you again... My garden is looking rather soggy and overgrown this year - lots of rain, not a lot of sun, just one runner bean so far... I'm fine thanks. Hope you are too!
Gardening at the moment has been limited to yanking out the odd weed between showers and visitors! Harvested lots of blueberries this morning though. And the sweet peas are doing well - we've had a vase full, scenting the living room, for around 6 weeks.
