The heavy rain did not stop me harvesting some Sunlemon, sunchocola and Red Bodyguard tomatoes from my conservatory which is attached to the lounge.  I also refreshed my birthday flowers from the boy next door - such cheerful chrysanths.

Good morning Marion. That's a lovely photo.

We have had lots of rain here in SW France. Garden looks so much happier and another flush of roses is starting. Grass is green again.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Lovely display of your tomatoes, Marion. I bet they are sweet.  Are the flowers Chysanths?  This little IPad makes it difficult to see the photos clearly.  Colours so rich, lovely. image

Yes Pat i did say they were chrysanths in the script.  It has just stopped raining Busy-Lizzie  so I went out front to get in the emptied wheelie bins and boxes  and the garden smells lovely and fresh.  We certainly needed it.  There is about a half inch in my watering cans and containers,  still more to come i think.  Those small apples are Worcester Pearmains, flumpy.    They are lovely and sweet and the juice runs down your chin as you bite nto them.  The tree is covered and the ones at the top are large.

Rain stopped momentarily so sped up the garden emptying pots as I went and picked some of my yellow plums.  Ambrosia!

Oh my goodness my Maid Marion Rose has arrived.  The smell when i opened the bo was beautiful and then I was gasping at the sight of it .  Here it is beside the myrtle tree I had for my birthday and close-ups of its flowers and the flowers of the myrtle which are opening daily.  I thinkI shall start a perfume garden and they shall be the first inhabitants.
