Now you'Ve made me laugh! My dear old Mum used to say that every night. she's been gone since 1986, but some things never leave you. Thanks for the memory.
Sitting waiting for the forecast rain to arrive! We had a yellow warning for heavy rain from 1am today but not a drop so still have five empty waterbutts.
It's still dry here Marion, my water butt is full so when the rain comes it will be over flowing, well the plumber hasn't rang me, I hate awing around, but he did say either Thursday or Friday
Hello, Flumpy, Marion and GWRS. It looks like a blindingly bright day through the gap in the curtains (8.20am). Slept heavily until about 3am when I woke with a full-on sweat. Had to get up and change my nightie and turn the pillow over. I absolutely hate that. I went through it in my 50s, but still get the occasional one. Then, of course, I was wide awake so read a bit more of my novel on the kindle for about an hour.
We'Ve decided to go to town this morning for a bit of extra shopping. I was asked to knit a dog coat in someone's favourite football colours but I haven't got one of the colours left. The shops in town didn't have any either (nothing new there, they are pretty hopeless) , so rang my daughter in Canberra and asked her to buy me some and post it down. It should be in the post office box today.
Gardening - I'll have a wander over and see what's what, but I can't really do much until the nights warm up a bit. I've got lots of veg seeds to germinate, but there's a limit to how much I can fit in the bottom heat propagator on the veranda and I've already got tomatoes seeds in. I'm enjoying reading all the bits you all put in about your gardens.
have a good day today - hope your weather is kind.
Forgot to say minus 2c this morning according to Hubby's weather station. Now that the curtain is open and I've been given a coffee in bed, (how slack can you get), I suppose I'd better make a move. This retirement gig is hard to take.
