Another brilliant day to wake up to.  Heating engineer is coming at 9 so shall have to steal myself away from the garden for a bit.  Ah well, needs must.

A very competent young man has explained what needs doing to bring my bungalow into the 21st century heating-wise.  My one way system has to become two way and the new combi boiler can go in the cupboard where the copper tank is removed from as it can be vented through the gas fire chimney vent up through the roof! No need to be on an outside wall!  New radiator by my computer chair in the study and three old radiators replaced by new ones.  He thinks the job will take two men three days and they can arrange to avoid my open days.  .Now after Parcel post comes as i am expecting live plants from Mr. Fothergill I can tackle my list for today.  Brilliant sunshine today and all day so should manage to catch up.

Awe Marion just think you will be lovely toastie warm next winter, our boiler went a year ago in winter when it was -5, we where sleeping in our coats and having showers at my mums it was awful, you will save on energy bills to Marion, ours has halved since we have the new boiler image.

looks like another nice day for you tomorrow so you may carry on with your list image, I had the afternoon off today as I'm working Sat morning so I cut my lawn today and dug soil over and also pinched my sweet peas as you said image

Your flowering cherry looks lovely, flumpy.  Blossom is very good indeed this year.  My apple trees are just beautiful.  Sun has just come out in Bristol and another warm dry day is forecast but rain is badly needed in the garden and it is forecast for the weekend.

I got lots of work done today in such brilliant weather.  Masses of buds on my philadelphus bushes/trees. so lots of perfume to look forward to.  I had to water the broad beans which i cannot remember having to do last year.

I have just seen the forecast for the next five days in Bristol and no rain of any worth till  next Tuesday is forecast.  I found one of my waterbutts yesterday had sprung a leak and I have emptied one already so only three more to go before I find myself using metered water. Ahhhhhh-grrrrrrr.  Pricking out Mr. Fothergills tomato trials today as well as the long list I now have that needs doing every day.  Cloudy at the moment but still warm and dry. Green wheeliebin gets emptied this morning. and will soon be full again.  Lots of bittercress and cleavers around this year.  Celandines are beginning to disappear now though I did reduce their numbers somewhat this year, beautiful as they are, they cannot be allowed to take over.

    Good morning Marion.

Loads of bittercress here in France too this year and I've been digging up celandines too. Also watered the broad beans!

Another lovely lot of photos from you, thank you.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
