Yes, Marion, you're right - it's only a couple of weeks since I was seeing the first buds starting to fatten up. we've had a few days that were about 30c, much to my dismay, since everything has gone mad - especially the weeds. We had a very strong storm this afternoon just after I'd been out to take those photos. The lightning was rather close and the TV signal dropped out and had to be rebooted.
What an astute observation, Marion. I've never thought of it like that. Also we are not close to the coast and mountain weather is different to coastal weather.
Oh that is where the sun has gone - to the east, GWRS. My garden is too wet to work on so i am going to the shops for some much needed supplies. Yes Pat I noticed the difference in the states too when i was a student there for a year.
Awww so pretty, Gertie, but it is so mild today it is like summer in Bristol and the flowers will be finding it hard to get to sleep for a well-earned rest.
I'm so disappointed not to have made it to happymarion today circumstances got in the way but I'm hoping that the weather will be dry at the weekend and I'll be able to visit then I can't wait to see Marion's garden in real form ????
Much brighter this morning, still mild and dry so should be able to plant some tulips. It was a dull day yesterday for a trip round my garden anyway Fruitcake. Colder weather forecast for Friday into Saturday but mild weather coming back till the end of the month the weathermen say. I bought eight of my Xmas presents at the XmAs Fair yesterday - only next door but one so no traffic troubles for me!

The difference between a continent and our little islands, I expect Pat. We have weather - you have climate.
Good morning , windy but a sunny morning in Lincoln
