Just had a wander around the garden in crocs and dressing gown - more jobs identified - winter prune the goosegogs and more wires needed for the espalier pear.
I shall have to make a list .... on a piece of paper rather than in my head
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I've got loads of leaves to tidy up, a few sneaky weeds to get rid of, greenhouse staging to finish building and found 6 tulip bulbs I'd forgotten about so need to plant those! Might sow a few sweet peas. Going to cut down the last of the crocosmia and phlox too as they are massive and scruffy. All today hopefully!
Still got to do tie in two blackberries, prune gooseberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, whitecurrants, empty compost bins mulch rhubarb, cut down Michaelmas daisies, prune raspberries, tie in tayberries, prune roses. But it will have to wait a bit,I have sciattica but not from doing too much gardening.
Lawn raking is another thing to put on the To Do list - moss has appeared from nowhere! I usually leave it until early spring, but this year I think it needs attacking before then

Just as an aside.... not really too sure what spring summer autumn or winter means anymore...
As a novice, I do try to follow package month instruction on when to plant\sow but surely these instructions are becoming redundant? Today for example, is most definately a spring day lol.
Still have millions of oak leaves to rake up, but there still seems just as many still up there on the tree!!!!
I'm still looking for an arch, loved yours Salino. We did see one during the summer that I fell in love with....very sturdy and not a bad price either. Went home to measure but by the time we got back to buy it, it had been sold Just keep telling myself it was a bit wide So still looking.

I still need to rake the living daylights out of my lawn, moss build up everywhere
Mind you there's still leaves to fall a plenty yet. Its been so mild there's still tonnes to fall I'm sure. I'll leave it a while longer methinks.
Sudden change of plan... Coffee anyone?
