I'm waiting for OH to turn our compost heaps so I can mulch some newly cleared beds and plant out my seed and divison raised plants. Finally decided to wait no longer and have started bedding them into the raised veggie beds till spring. Still quite a lot of those to do then the rest of the new bulbs to plant; dahlais ato lift and dry before storing, the south facing wall of the greenhouse still to bubble wrap; assorted pots to be sheltered in there or the shed depending on what needs light; chipped bark mulch to apply to the blackurrant, redcurrant, gooseberry and strawberries bed; winter windbreak netting to attach on the north and east fences and then we can have winter.
That will be spent mostly hibernating and doing jobs in the house but on fine days there are garden chairs to repair and paint, metal obelisks to clean with a wire brush and paint with hammerite and some new wooden ones to make and paint.

...not much....all ship shape and Bristol fashion...which is how I like it at this time of year....waiting for some new roses from Peter Beales but they're for growing under glass...
...get this wretched season out of the way....roll on mid Feb...
I'm having a big move around (again) and want to have it done this year before I lose sight of all the perennials...
I also want to get some new roses so need to get into gear and decide whether to get 2 I 'need' for new arrangements I'm putting together or 4 that I really like
Loads, and then loads more, just taken on an allotment its in four sections three covered.First section a good display of bindweed and dandilions got that sorted.Yesterday uncovered next section so start again
Just started to bring in my summer pots to the GH . We planted some bulbs into the garden today. Trimmed up my Pelargoniums as they came in for the winter . Continuing to do that next week till they are all inside. Need to plant up the rest of my new bulbs in pots and then it's just a matter of keeping things tidy until spring arrives and everything wakes up and begins all over again!
I would like this arch....it costs about £100... but I've nowhere to put it.... I'm thinking of just getting it and then I will be forced to find somewhere... but that's not how it's done...is it..?... maybe I find somewhere...tomorrow...

Oh salino it's gorgeous, you must order it especially if your Peter Beale order has a climber in it?
