    well, I've spent a long time, but I think I've decided on a new lawn mower.

    I've never spent so much on anything other than a car or a house before, bit nervous.

    Hostafan, that looks like the one my son has. He's very pleased with it.

    I haven't done anything in the garden since it turned chilly. Too busy with Christmas. Still have a packet of tulips, a Buzz buddleia and 3 roses to plant and I need to re-pot the blueberries into bigger pots.

    Salino, we have about 8 acres, but about half is young woodland and an acre is a lake. Lizzie, does you son like his?

    the other thing I'm doing on a daily basis to " empty" mouse traps in polytunnel and re-set . The little critters have eaten all my primula seedlings

    That canna durban looks amazing Verdun, i must find one for my hot border image

    big investment Hostafan but you cant go wrong with john deere, i have used  john deere pedestrian mowers for years and they been excellent.
