I've decided to rip out most of this bed to create a "hot" bed. Think Great Dixter, cannas, dahlias, ricinus etc etc. That'll keep my out of mischief over the winter.

if you click on the first pic, you'll see the "tree dahlia" which I'm hoping might yet open its buds.

Salino what did you order from BeaLes? Did you see the black Friday weekend half price offers? I have ordered Jacqueline de pre and one other! Can't think now and if I come out of this posting I'll lose it! image It sounded Hawaiian!

I supose if you get to 75 and then have a worst year, you're not doing bad. My son has had 2 operations this year, one only yesterday, and I am nursing my mum knowing shes not going to recover like you have.

On a lighter note, I have pricked out and potted on all my delphs, foxgloves, aquilegia, and many more ready for Spring planting, still to cover most of the borders with compost I have made through the year. I have still got fuchsia cuttings well rooted to pot up.

Made a good start landscaping the pond.

  • Lyn, I'm surprised that you have any time or energy left for gardening ((hugs))

I hope your son is on the mend image
