    I typed s F l! On ipad, must go to bed now, still being woken 4 -5 times a night and up 5 ish!

    Chicky - thanks, that makes me feel slightly better. I may give it another go as they did seem to be alright once in the garden.

    Think Ive only watered my sweet peas about three times since I planted them back in the autumn.  They are looking good at the moment about 4 inches tall and nice and bushy.  Did pinch them back once in early December but not needed to since.
