I 'semi-force' mine under a rhubarb forcer to produce in the very early spring - I was picking early February this year, so I stop picking mine early to give it plenty of rest.
If you don't put yours under that stress you can carry on picking for another month

To be honest, i pick it but have never really bothered making anything, i just pick because i plant everything too close together and it shades the gooseberries. Im one of those people who has to grow everything in a tiny garden!
No ive never forced mine, have got some seakale seeds, its the same process isnt it?

Stew gently, stir into greek yoghurt & add a teaspoon of honey. If liked, add chopped hazelnuts on top. To die for!
should i be using up the rest of mine then still growing strongly in my garden?
I might take one more meal's worth, then I won't pick any more this year, so that the crown can build up for next year
