Whereabouts are you Mr Toast? - if you're in Norfolk or North Suffolk I'll come and get them - perfect for creating habitat for my toads, newts and any passing slow worms. image

Hi, Sorry Dove I am in Manchester, although I was born in Yarmouth.

As far as the stones go, all you can do is your best with a shovel/spade and then dig the rest in. More hard work for you but you are getting there. Your garden is just about toast!

Lol Well and truly toasted, but my hard work will pay off I am sure, I am a one man team with little more than a shovel and fork, my landscaping rake is on the way like the weed killer and sprayer.

I can only get stuff done at weekends, after getting some quotes it seemed daft not to attempt the work myself.

For the type of gardening that you are doing at the moment, all you need is the energy and the inclination. The exciting part to come is when you are deciding what to do with your space, planting it up and then watching it grow. Onwards and upwards Mr Toast!

Energy is something I do not lack, inclination is here, am I ok on updating this post everytime I do something or should I be posting in a different part of the forum.

Yay!  A Norfolk boy!  If you're planning to visit your birthplace you could always bring me some rocks! image

It does sound as if you have plenty of energy, and gardening is certainly cheaper than most gym memberships!

You're fine just posting on here about remodelling your garden, just as you are doing.

However, if you have any specific questions it's best to start a new thread with a descriptive title so that posters with specific areas of interest will see it.

Thanks Dove, One quick question I do have is I have ordered 5lt of Gallup concentrate weed killer, I have read that the dilution instructions are a little hard to understand  on the pack.

Has anyone used this and if so what ratio should I mix it to, it will be used for the existing lawn and weeds.

Gallup is a formulation designed for use by professionals - I've not used it.  Sorry.

I know it was recommended to you by someone who appears to no longer be posting on this board.  I hope there's someone else on here who can help you.

I just found a site that recommends 160ml to every 10lts of water.
