Thanks Buddyboy, I still have a long way until I am at that stage anyway and will be posting a lot more questions when I come to the next stages.

I am going to need to weedkill the whole garden area soon in preparation, I have been looking at a roundup concentrate, Is there anything better? Needs to be pet and child friendly.

I had a day off work today and got a bit of time in the garden. After day 2 of project garden, 1 man and no power tools this is where I am at today.

Me again, We are looking for something to divided the patio and lawn, the lawn will be level to the patio. our first thought was something like a slate/stone, I do not want to use anything raised. I thought about some decking boards maybe running the lenght of the patio.

    Has anyone any other recommendations/ideas?

I would just run the new lawn up to the patio and then you can just run the mower over the edge. Less work and neat.

I agree with Hogweed - the fewer changes of surface the simpler it will be to keep tidy. image

Thanks, this sounds like the obvious solution and something I think I will go with.
