Zoomer, did you wait long enough? Sometimes I have to wait quite a time for pics to upload. Seen Levens on TV. Wonder where Belieze is, must Google it.

    Lovely photos, Fidget, thank you.

We are hoping to go to Suffolk next year so Cumbria will have to wait, but it's on the list!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I love formal gardens Zoomer so Levens is one I enjoyed. I couldn't get my photos on from the computer but Salino advised me to upload them to an external site - Photobucket - and that works for me. You just google it and sign up - doesn't cost anything - and it's quite easy to work out how to upload the pix and then transfer them here. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Sorry...BL spelt it wrong... it's Béziers not Beliezeimage, it's not far from Agde., in the south.

I'll try again with the pics.

After seeing Trebah Gardens on GW, i decided to visit when we were in Cornwall a few weeks ago.  Absolutely loved it, and the beach at the bottom was an added bonus.  Would love to go back in the spring.

Trebah is gorgeous. I always expect dinosaurs to rear up from the giant gunneras and tree ferns.

Great thread - the "places I must visit" list keeps getting longerimage

Fg... just registered with photbucket but my software is out of date to upload so down loaded google chrome. Photo's may not be posted today but I'll keep trying...were there's a will there's a wayimage

The topiary at Levens I think would be nice whether it be summer or winter, last time I visited was on a school trip over 30 yrs ago and recall it being a tad bit boring...and getting into trouble for walking on the grass...no such restrictions now and I enjoyed the visit.

It was expensive though on a wet and windy day, as in order to visit the hall you also have to pay for the garden and they aren't in the 2 for 1 guide.

Fg...Have you visited Brantwood Gardens or Rydal Mount Gardens in the Lakes, those were my other two choices today but I was put off by the weather...wet and windy...image

We loved Trebah too, went in 2011. It rained, but it didn't matter. Sheltered under the huge gunneras!
