Artjak, I think that the strange nectaroscordum type seed head is of Primula florindae,  the giant Himalayan cowslip.

Lovely garden Artjak,  restful with interest at every turn. Like the idea of plenty of places to sit. Hmmm image , thinking of transposing ideas into my wide garden - there goes the lawn !!

There was another bench in a corner of the 2nd bit of lawn, but a chap was sitting there so didn't like to take a photoimage

re the unIDd plant at Castor House. I think this might be solved by me emailing the garden ownerimage

Yes, that's what reminded me. but I thought they liked damp and wasn't this in a dry bit or do I misremember that?

Took a trip to Land Farm Gardens as its only a few miles away using the GW magazine 2 for 1.. Most of the garden is past its prime it has to be said at this time but its still a lovely remote spot and very inspiring.

The artwork is a little spooky though.. I would love these in our woods but not sure what the OH would think..
