Hi folks, Visited Dorothy Clive Gardens today which is on the Cheshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire Border not far from Market Drayton. Absolutely beautiful here are my photos
The gardens are laid out over a hillside and were created in 1940 by Colonel Harry Clive in honour of his wife Dorothy. How romantic, its as much as I can do to get hubby to mow the lawn!!!! Will definitely go back in the spring when the laburnam walk and azalea walk are in full flow they looked fantastic.
Went to Renishaw Hall Gardens today (GW 2for1) and fell in love. FRom the Italianesque formal gardens with a delight behind every yew, to the woodland and lakeside walks it was beautiful over and over again. Loved the appropriately placed statues and artwork throughout the garden too. So now I have to narrow down my 28 favourite photos! In addition the museum and cream tea was very much enjoyed.
I seem to have deleted them all from the camera card and they didn't paste into my pictures folder aghhhhhhh. Can anyone help, I can't even find the 'bin/deleted' thingy????

Oh no, Mrs. G, what a shame. I would have loved to have seen them. Sorry I'm not techy.
Thank you Yviestevie. We didn't get to go there when we were in Shropshire, just a bit too far away.
Here's a Google pic of Renishaw Hall to give an idea. Looks lovely.
