I'm way behind looking in on this thread - it's great to see everyone's ideas and colour schemes and such great plants.
Yviestevie (think I've got that wrong!) - am really taken with your Par. Clem in the jug. What a gorgeous blue. I bought a jug on a whim from a local junk shop and wish I'd thought of trying to put a clematis in there. With it's narrow top I tried a few things and nothing stayed alive! You've given me an idea to try now maybe for next year. My jug just kind of sits there looking a bit daft at the moment next to a bamboo I couldn't figure out how to plant anything in it properly. I had the idea of using a leg from a pair of stockings filled with compost (the mad ideas I get) and lowering it into the jug with something to hold it around the top. I didn't want to fill the jug with grit and compost in case the whole thing just moulded with wet. You can tell I'm not applying logic to this folks!
