Pentillie yes are site does get chippings it is great that is why bark chipping paths are what I want, it is a big allotment site as my plot is number 179 and there are 200 and more plots on site

Can't have carpet in my site rules

GWRS I found this flower below was not sure what it was then after a visit to Loseley gardens in Surrey I found a plant similar and looked at the label ish near by which said Chicory so looked it up online and that is what my flower plant is. also looked up in garden book and think it said you can eat the flowers as well

    Really pretty as flowers

Here is a pic of some of the skip fishing I done from neighbours near by home, quite a few good bits, will use them some how

and some breeze blocks and all these bits of board

have got a bit of guttering now and a few more bits of wood, also 2 - 1 tonne bags but will have to cut into bits as they were cut open to get the stuff out they will be put on the allotment as ground cover

    What a find Gardengirl.

Nasturgum flowers are nice to eat, so are the seeds when green, they have a peppery taste, excellent on a salad. I can't bring myself to eat the leaves thoughimage

I'm curious about the photos of the fox. Our foxes have big bushy tails - very beautiful. Is the one you have usual or are there different species? Never thought of it before.

Wild blackberries at chickenville are very popular with a few certain feathered ladies image Thornless blackberries at the other site are doing great, some are just coming up ripe enough for picking image

Cabbages at one site have been left for too long image but the chickens absolutely love it when I chuck one in the run, they get all the little slugs in them too. Sweet corn doing ok but we are already saying we should have planted more. Gonna be a fight between us and the chooks as to who gets them lol.

Second sowings of peas are coming up to being ready now too, as well as the sarpo Mira spuds. The king eddies are way off yet.

At home,  we are FINALLY seeing the tomatoes start to change colour! We are fully prepared for the fact that they'll probably all be red while we are on holiday next month. That's always the way.

I bought some sunflower seeds while in Greece last year. They are in full flower now and are absolutely fab! They are very mini and have a very fluffy appearance. I'll try and get a pic but I want to wait until the sun is on them for full effect image

Fruitcake they look great - are they Teddy Bear sunflowers they are dwarf - glad the chickens liking them

GWRS what a bummer - you think they would leave it tidy - have you a nursery bed or using seed compost for your rocket? - me not sown any this year

Finally got to the allotment plot today first time for a few weeks grass and brambles a bit taller, did a lot of cutting down and covered bits with the part 1 tonne bags,  bit of weeding and also watering - well two of my cauliflowers have little heads now - slugs eaten most of the swede plants

The neighbour with the skip near by is having a extension on ground level at back of house spotted a few more bits of wood in the skip so will get sometime  -most of it all new bits but they don't need them which is great for me

Went to the allotment show had cake and got to enjoy looking around giving me ideas what to grow and what and how to show things
