What a lovely day today and definately a day for gardening, alas I woke feeling poorly, earache, sore throat, crokey and absolutely wiped out energy wise !

However I've ordered all my seed catalogues online, played catch up with GW on TV and dreamt of what I will do when I feel better image

Sorry Fruitcake but I'm a sweet pea lover too image, I don't plant row after row but the odd obelisk or two looks lovely amongst my beds!

  • Last night I found a water butt on top of a skip, perfect for my allotment. (so it went in the back of my car of course!) imageTook it to the plot only to discover that the tree man had been and deposited another lovely big pile of wood chips. I can now finish my paths! imageWhile I was there, I flashed the torch on my frog pond, and sure enough I have a resident frog at last image Great night all round (or am I easily pleased) imageimage

  • Fruitcake I grow sweet peas for cutting to bring indoors, even though not done so well with it this year pretty flowers and nice smell and attracts the pollinating insects

I just have an area next to the fence to grow them - here is a pic when I done really well in 2011 with them it was a new flower bed then so lots of compost added

  • I hope our tree man has been, we really need to get the remaining paths sorted out. knowing my luck there'll be a new delivery waiting for me in the morning, when my wheelbarrow is at the other site!

new shed in place at the new plot, put up from scratch, new felt on the roof and even a lick of paint image

theres a skip slkip on the drive a couple of houses down the road that has a pallet in so hoping to grab that in a bit.

Hope you're feeling better today Woo2 image an enforced rest is often the way to catch up and plan, anything special in mind?

Ginagibbs, how lucky are you !!  image  I'm rethinking my idea for grass paths having spent time yesterday hauling manure onto the beds I dug - soon got muddy and slippery. Must find out if bark is delivered here.

Two sunshiney days! Cant believe it! Spent time in home garden and at the allotment image

Finally manured the beds I have dug, although the large one needs more the other has cardboard underneath a good layer of rotted horse manure.

Good forecast for tomorrow so will finish the large bed and put membrane over it. Photos, before and after
