Gina....my tomatoes are through in my propogator , just 2 leaves and about 2 inches tall. This is the first time I've used a propogator, when shall I take them out to grow on in the window, is it too soon now? Sorry if its a "blonde question" image

GWRS, lucky you! guessing you didn't get the rain today ????

Woo-Once the seedlings show take the lid off, I usually leave them for a day in the propogator then move to a window. Your toms sound ready to come out.

Brussels haven't got their second leaves yet Gg so will need to be patient but thanks for the tip. I'm already looking forward to the weekend.

GWRS...do you plant your garlic and onions straight in the ground or start in modules first? I'm thinking straight in the ground this year..

Zoomer44 , always plant direct into ground , some before winter and some now , so far they have always been ok image

GWRS-I've some onions/garlic in modules planted before winter and grown in the GH which can be planted out now but am going to plant the sets I've bought straight in the ground...nothing ventured nothing gained...image

I sowed some onions direct into the ground a couple of weeks ago and the birds keep pulling them up image my fault for not covering them. I also have some onions that I put in modules before the winter but haven't had chance to plant on- I read somewhere that if I planted them out now, they'd pretty much run to seed, so I don't know image

Some of my toms are getting second leaves now, still no sign of the Verbena's yet!!

    Cauliflowers have popped up though.

I have to start again with my tomatoes, they've all just flopped over image

i have been at my established plot today, turned over another potato bed, did a lot of hoeing and cut the grass around the borders. That was hard work with a push mower! I have certainly earned a chocolate bar today lol. I will be putting potatoes in up there before the end of the week. I can cloche them if needs be.

I don't know why I was surprised that my red cabbage seeds have sprouted red image
