  • Hi all, hope you all had a good Christmas and not too affected by the horrible weather up North (been thinking of you all, we have family in Lancashire and friends in York) Ours was relaxing, had a few parties to go to tooimage

Went to my plot xmas eve to dig up parsnips for xmas dinner. Took ages to pull out as the soil is so wet and sticky. tasted great thoughimageimageGot a new wheel on my wheelbarrow now so am up and running again to top up my wood chip paths and bring some manure back from the stables.

I have daffodils flowering in my garden, and my Ceanothus is starting to flower too, has been so mild here!

Need to start making a list too fruitcake, I still have lots of packs of seeds from last year to sort and new one s to buy!

  • Ginagibbs glad you got a wheel for your wheelbarrow, nearly have daffs in flower - it is mild

Been and got a few saws from Wicks good price from there - £3.99 only thing is have a bad muscle in shoulder went and over stretched today, so have all bits for when I can start them and the weather good as well - well dry days

Check on the allotment the other day and stray potatoes have been sprouting so cleared those and weeded between the strawberries.

Will look at the hand cultivater Gardengirl-thank you god the suggestions.

Started to plan the allotment ready for next year and so looking forward to it.

Hello thought I want to have a blackcurrant plant on the allotment plot and it seems like a good time to go to the GC as 50% off fruit plants

I got a blackcurrant plant today first purchase in sale at GC Wyevale 50% off from £9.99 to £4.99 then I had vouchers of £4.50 off

so I paid only £0.49p for the blackcurrant plant Ben connan and it is in a pot so should be ok like that for a bit

    Fab bargain gardengirl image

i went to wyevale last week and picked up some quite big potted herbs for £1 each. I've ordered my seed potatoes for this year and some garlic bulbs. The potatoes and garlic were from T&M and Suttons who had both emailed me £5 vouchers so I just had a few pence to pay on those image
