Hello all , got up to allottment this morning and repaired one side of fence that was particularly damaged by winter winds , still a bit more to do

beeen to B & Q and the Range to buy thick plastic coated wire to support fence as the bit with it was not effected , also 2 new padlocks to replace broken ones

also got to replace to posts that are broken , so going to timber yard tomorrow

Fiited a new lock and latch to shed no. 2 broken when thieves broke in

removed broken posts but able to reuse them for new rasberry bed

harvested sprouts , turnips which have been particuly good and swedes not so good and juruslem articokes

Pak choi gone to seed , spinach and chard not looking to good , left them all in ground at least it stops feeds growing

Not been able to get to the plot for a while. It's wet again this weekend but I' ll try to go tomorrow to check everything is OK.

Purchased some spuds from B&Q and Wilko's. Our spud fair should be on soon, need to check the local paper to find out when.

Bought some red onion sets and Dahlia's from Wilko too.

There' s a small spud fare near us. There aren't many varieties but usually one' s not in the shops.

The fair in Skem is a lot bigger with more varieties.

Went to the plot, picked Leek's and kale. Dug over one of the beds, it started to rain before I could cover it with muck.

The spud and seed day I went to today was good - everything I could think of for growing this year was available. I settled for a few different types of spuds and seeds otherwise I think I would have spent a fortune!

I have been to both plots today, but pretty much only for water damage limitation. On the chicken plot it is a constant battle to keep water out of the chicken run. At the other one, my concrete shed has been leaking for a while but the council didn't do anything about it. I emailed them a couple of times, including pics of the inside being soaking wet and they have finally agreed that bitumen is required but I will have to wait for drier times. We have put a temporary tarpaulin on the roof which hopefully will last out.

And then I came home and sorted through my seeds, writing down what I have and when to start planting image
