Went up to the plot last night to find my walk in  growhouse all mangled up from the high winds the night before. Never mind, it was wishful thinking that it might survive the winter, so I will take apart and store it until March.  Just glad it was anchored down or it would have ended up on next doors chickensimage

Hi ginagibbs.  That happened to my nylon walk in growhouse, turned inside out - twice in a month. Realised it would happen again so removed the cover and built a shed with a clear roof around the frame and shelving. Works splendidly. The winds a few days ago flattened my runner beans [which I was going to remove anyway] and bent over my 5 foot tall Roodnerf sprouts, even though they were securely staked - or so I thought!

Thanks Mel, good idea about the shed. My broad beans and sun flowers were horizontal too image

hi Gardengirl....just saw your post there... no I've not heard a thing, I was advised not to expect to get a response for ''some weeks''...   I've spoken to an allotment holder at another site who thinks I ought to go there in any case, but it's  a car drive away and didn't want to do that...   getting a bit late in the year now, I wanted to get started on it earlier.. but on the other hand there shouldn't be any great rush really.... I wanted to give myself a couple of years to get things sorted, as I retire then....and will have more time... so I'll just hang on a bit.... I'm not going begging...lol..  and I try to keep up on this thread with tips and advice....
