  • Apparently it does but only man wee. Slight problem there.... Lol. But I can help with human hair which also acts as a deterrent apparentlyimage

i am hoping against hope that by sinking wire down, rods in front of that, the skirt of the chicken wire and then paving slabs on top of that, that "Foxy" will give up trying

  • Fruitcake- hope all goes well with your chickens and that the fox leaves them alone, we had chickens and I really miss them but don't really have the space for them.

I'll take lots of pics of the allotment fruitcake image

  • Hello Stagbeetle nice that you want an allotment and 2nd on the list that is fast, I am 8th on a waiting list now

    Where abouts are you?

Fruitcake not great about the fox but think all the effort you have put in should keep it out

GWRS glad you got the sheds painted

The list shrinks and grows depending on the time of year, Edd, Febs is nearly sorted, in March it will mainly be digging, putting in glass for the GH and hoping and praying I dug up the bramble root's in there so they don't grow amongst the cue'simage

Not used paper shreddings in spud trenches before GWRS, let us know how you get on, me was thinking of adding more paper shreddings to the compost heap. I use washed up sea weed to line spud trenches.

  • Today I brought cow pots to try this year and see how well they do  - some round some square all you do is sow the seeds in them then when ready plant straight into the ground

I also brought some wood to re do my raised bed for my veg

Zoomer44  I write list they are helpful and grow and shrinks like yours

I bought some grow pockets, not used them before, there's only 22 in a packet so thought I'd use them to sow things like cues, aubergines, toms, squash and courgettes in, plants which I'm not growing many of.

Cow pots sound like a good plan.

Hello , just looked up Cow Pots , they look good

think I will stick to toilet rolls , which are free , however , everybody to there ownimage

  • I tried loo rolls no success went mouldy snails liked them so nibble holes in, they did not cost much got 3 large round ones, 12 3" square ones and 12 4" pots square ones

I was looking at them last year but was too late in year when I saw them so decided to wait and get them this year
