Well - it's just started snowing/sleeting here, but  the architect's been and gone and  I've dealt with HMRC ,  so I can deal with anything now imageimage

pd -  can you have gadgets and a shed combined...image

Verdun - I don't trust these parking gizmos on cars - they're fine till they don't work. The one on my ex's car was always going wrong image

Does your new car have a holder for doughnuts?

    Verdun,

I test drove a certain Volvo that was in all of the media outlets regarding its amazing sensors and how it would slam the brakes on if you were about to hit a pedestrian.

Now I must point out that this test day was not on a public road so I got to put it through its paces and very nice it was too.

Unfortunately whilst showing me those lovely gadgets a few things happened

    1. We hit the inflatable man when the auto brake didn't activate.

    2. Someone reversed into my wheelchair that we'd left in the parking space to bag a spot that had enough space to haul my rump in and out easily because the reversing sensors failed to notice it

    3. It was pointed out that the cup holders weren't actually big enough to hold a service station sized cup

    4. A sensor linked to one of the performance gadgets failed on another vehicle meaning the super sporty vehicle ended up in limp home mode before lunch time.

Go for one with reliability - gadgets get boring after a whileimage

    Boys and their toys image

Verd - it'll have to be a manual car then....and are you sure you want to mix those flavours on the  gearstick? You've really not thought this through properly, have you?

    I don't know....image

Sorry fidget far too cold to take photos. Yes fg. a shed filled with gadgets would be perfect although, if I am honest what I like best is moving a chair into the doorway of the shed and gently idling away a few hours watching the birds. The shed is far enough away from the house that I am totally out of contact..... bliss.

Hi, back from hairdresser 60 quid lighter. Well I do have a lot of hair. Good job I budget each week for hair, or it would get spent on plants. Don't suppose the plants would care what my hair looked like.

Men and toys, sorry gadgets image You know what they say, as men get older their toys just get more expensive.

Pd, I will fess up I've never been to the Botanical Gardens, only 10 miles away, I must make an effort and go this year, no excuse now I don't work. Like the chair in shed idea, before we had a conservatory ( and before I joined forum and could get in the GH in Winter, can't move noe for plants !) I used to sit in it and enjoy any Winter sun we might have had.

    Lashing down here & cold.

Got to russle up some sort of pasta dish later, OH loves pasta, me image but swings & roundabouts, he eats stuff that I really like and he's not keen on. Helps though when you are the cook image

And would you trust the car to remember where it'd parked itself ? image

£60 sounds a lot, was it being coloured too? I hate going to the hairdresser, usually cut it myself using my folding wardrobe mirrors to se the back. When I go to hairdresser I'm never pleased with it and when I do it myself friends say it looks nice.

I love my car, red Renault Megane Estate but it's the de Lux version, got it 2nd hand. It carries everything I want it to in the back and it has great acceleration and road holding.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
