Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all... Manic week at home and work... Still managed to buy some plants lol bought : 5 mixed astrantia, Arthyrium lady in red fern for the woods, clematis sieboldii and 2 heuchera Venus....... And got 50 free gladioli bulbs!!!! I'm trying to stay positive that some of the plants I planted last year haven't rotted with all this rain!!!! Bulbs are popping up everywhere which is great ...... Still looking for the ultimate clematis for the north facing wall... I must visit Taylor's web site daily I have it narrowed down to 3 now so the ongoing decision rages on lol.... Stay dry peeps
Stacey, I've got some alpina clematis which are very happy on a northfacing fence and they do very well there - and don't need complicated pruning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CyxYCwSu7A

Self drive Pam, fortunately they're really easy to use!!
Verdun please please please can we have nice weather?! I've now just had 5 BIG bags of sand / sub base arrive on the drive (thank you Wickes and your lovely lorry driver) and am now starting to wonder just how big my partners new man shed is going to be to need this much foundations!!
Just had a look at Keen Gardener 4's posts - several lots of spam on different threads - all reported now - honestly you take your eyes off them for five minutes to make a cauliflower cheese and what do you get -

Well the smallest mini digger known to humanity has arrived and I've just relocated 50 new slabs to the back garden.
If you could all do a little sun dance for the weekend I'd be grateful!
Is it a self-drive digger or does it come with a man (or a lady)?
I think Verdun is in charge of the weather, Clarington.
Sun has come out here Clari, so hoping you've got some of it.
Going outside to at least weed the tubs that have bulbs in
