Punkdoc, it would help if you could name who sent you a nasty PM, maybe then we could get rid of them once and for all. I hope you have informed the Moderator. This is really getting ridiculous! I agree with you Stacey, if I get one all hell will break loose!image

Chicky- well done Mr Chicky!! Lovely job. Could he make me a few? image

I've thought of doing a couple of wooden ones but that's a for another year I think. Are you planting it with just one 'specimen shrub' or is he making you more so that you can have a nice group of them?

Like the pyracantha. I've got an orange one which is looking nice just now even though it's quite young. The birds eat the reds first, then orange then yellow. I've got a pernettya which has lovely white berries - apparently they're the last colour of berry to get eaten. Aren't birds clever?

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Yes- I assume that's the reason Fg. I'm not going to do a taste test any time soon though! image

The berried trees and shrubs are looking terrific up here this year. Lovely to see them.

Fairy I've looked at pernettya and liked them, for some reason I thought you needed a couple for pollination, am I wrong? image

Chicky can I have some as well ?image

I think that's the case KEF. I only bought this one earlier this summer so it would have been pollinated when I got it I expect. There are males and females - like Skimmia. I may have to get another one as I don't think anyone round here is likely to have one.
