    Good morning all image

It's a bit wet outside (possible understatement)   I know I wanted the waterbutts filled up but honestly, this is a bit excessive - I wanted  to get out into the garden image  and also, a friend on my other forum is getting wed today up there in the Midlands - so if Fairy could wave her wand ............... image

Wet morning all image Rained all night and still at it. Hope there are some holes in the bottom of the skip or it will be a swimming pool. OH got it half filled yesterday and when he gets up will no doubt inspect to see what has been "removed" during the night image

Dove, hope weather improves for friend's wedding. Well hope it improves for us all.

  • Most enjoyable day at Malvern on Friday. First surprise was that price to get in on Thursday was £38, whereas I paid £21-50. Thank goodness for the rainimage. I shan't be   going on day 1 next year. And the RHS has just released some last minute tickets for Chelsea, with minor additional benefits, for £400 each! What on earth is happening?

Anyway the show was very good. I liked the new layout, even if old favourites had moved. Show gardens were excellent and improve every year. Princess Ann turned up so someone had obviously told her I would be there.

Bought a few goodies including Geum "Baked Beans" (name chosen by the breeder for the colour), some narcissi for my wildflower patch, and a trillium grandiflora.

    Morning Forkers!

Constant drizzle today and pretty dark outside but the garden will thrive and gift me something new no doubt next time I get out in it.

Been working last few days so haven't seen much of the garden at all.

Think my wand's gone into meltdown Dove. I've tried waving it here too - but to no effect image

Glad you had a good day Woody despite the price. Thought they'd have let you in for nothing once they knew who you were....image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

My 7th grandchild was born last night. Little boy, Edward. Going to the hospital when visiting starts. Son No. 2, so local.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Trilliums... small woodland plant, where everything comes in 3s... leaves, petals etc. Pops up each spring ... a little gem. Yellows, reds and whites. Mine is white.

The grower of "baked beans" had a twinkle in his eye and said he couldn't call it anything else. I agreed. Marmelade might have been good too. Which reminds me , it's time for breakfast.
