    Ooh Verdun, I can't wait!image

Sons gave me an ice cream maker for Christmas. Needed room in the freezer for the bowl before I can use it. Having roast duck tonight with roast parsnips, potatoes, squash and red onions, all from the garden. Will be enough for tomorrow.

    Hello all you forkers

I have fed the birds today most of the feeders needed re doing - there were a lot of birds about today.

I took some photos of what areas need sorting out in the garden, in the nice rain so that is a few more bits to add to the list.

Want to have a fence made from twigs like they did on the Tudor monastery show on TV, just will have to figure out how and where about I would like it, there is still lots of  twigs in the garden to use - just have to wait till dryer weather cause they are very wet at the mo.

Okay gardeners I need your brains.

On Friday night I went to a pub (gasp) to be social with chums (I have friends?!) Or to be precise The Harrington Arms in Long Eaton.

I had a starter involving battered deep fried hullumi with these amazing pepper / chilli tiny little red things which tasted simply amazingly. They were infact the highlight of my meal.

I want to try to grow those taste sensations but like a fool I forgot to write down what they were called. The pub is not local to me so I can't go back so I'm really hoping someone here will recognise them.

They were very small - lady like delicate pinkie finger nail small and really bright red.

I can't stop thinking about them!!
