Forgot to mention Punk yesterday, sounds like you had a lovely holiday and glad Mrs Punk enjoyed, the brownie points earned should last a while image

Have a lovely day out MrsGarden.

I've not seen Stacey either, not even on the chilli thread, didn't like yo ask again as also thought it be busy with work related.  Hope she is ok.

Luckily no frost here overnight, (just some rain which I was grateful for as it stopped the firework display!!!) muppet me forgot to put my repotted Tumbling toms indoors before bed last night, luckily no damage done, just a bit damp image

Hi John, it does have a hole drilled in it, which is a shame as I would have liked it to be a water feature. But its far too big too be a hanging tub, as its 26ins accross and quite deep.

Allium did think of an alpine garden, but do have one already and because of the size of the pot, I'd need loads. Many thanks.

Have started a thread for ideas.image

Noise nuisance OL - council phone call. Don't have to give your name. Others would have heard it too. People are unbelievably considerate. It's seems to ba an ever increasing problem.

lily - some outdoor sealant. You get it in DIY stores - different types for different materials. You're a bit far away for me to come with  my gun and do it for you! image

Permanent way is to silver solder a plate across the hole (One of the things I teach) not sure where you are but if you are close enough I could do it for you. (I'm in East Bristol) John H

I meant to say 'inconsiderate' in that last post - but I'm sure you got the drift image

You're a kind soul John. Forgot the pot was brass lily but I think some of the sealants/glues would still work if you can't take John up on his offer.

Don't think I've caught up with myself yet today image

OL - It's illegal to set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am  https://www.gov.uk/fireworks-the-law - you and the neighbours should contact Environmental Health.
