Aussie lodger should be back in Oz by the time we go on holiday. Difficult to determine though as he seems to have gone walkabout. (might be in London???)
I will probably get another phone call when he runs out of money again.
He seems to be rather more fond of Stella Artois than Fosters.
I have a job for him, involving moving large lumps of stone to build a wall that OH has been promising for two years.
Next door lodger is usually amenable, but she was brought up in an inner city flat and is terrified of snails, creepy crawlies, frogs etc, and there is usually at least one frog residing in the greenhouse. Mind you, at that time of year, I can probably just give everything a good soak before we go, and make sure the heater on the frost stat is on.
It's actually a British myth that Ozzies drink Fosters, they do like Victoria Bitter though, not really a bitter more like a lager and what all my Ozzie relatives drink
BM, don't be acting all innocent.....we know you are thinking the same Anyway, I'm a happily married woman......but there's no harm in window shopping
Hello everyone, Firstly, there is no way I can remember what everyone has been up to since last night. I know that someone was talking about hedgehogs, well I dont have one either. I did have mummy and 4 babies at a previous address they used to sit on a giant plate and eat dog food.
Someone thinks that firstborn has a poorly baby but thats Liri not me.
Havent met you before Bill but hope you get help with your garden do they have 'bob a job' week in Canada it seems that a few boy scouts are needed to sort out your weed problem.
Now whats all this talk about an aussie lodger is he fit and georgeous, I know someone mentioned a didgeredoo (that cant be spelt right). Im sure I could find a few jobs for him if hes ever in the West Mids. I think Ive been out in the sun too long so Ive given myself a slap on the wrist which seems to have brought me back to reality.
While I think about it what time does the party kick off tomorrow, I need to sort out my red velvet cup cakes. Im thinking of bringing along a nice bottle of Esmerelda its a nice spanish white and will make a change from Pinot.
Back to gardening, managed to sneak out and move the remaining plants while hubby was at the gym, hes non the wiser and wont be able to say I told you so of my arm plays up tonight.
Not sure that my molineaux rose will survive the move but I do have my eye on 'Lady of Shallot' a DA rose thats a lovely apricot colour so 'every cloud has a silver lining' so they say. Once everything settles in I think the border will look so much better.
Anyway, Im going to have a nice cuppa and stroll round the garden. I wonder if hubby will notice that things have moved.
Happy to scan article on moles - it's all in French though - is that going to be OK? Also as regards ironing - have to do something to make it look like I earn my keep, usually dawdle over it on Sunday mornings actually whilst watching back to back gardening programmes!

About 5 mins after I posted the sun came out and now lovely. Compost bins turned, plants potted on and more perpetual spinach sown, just to cut as salad leaves, main crop is in veg bed. Struggled my way under netting to weed veg bed, great to stop cabbage white but a faff to get in and weed and harvest. OH is on watering duty with hose as he managed to damage his foot coming down the steps after cleaning windows yesterday, must be lack of practice how can you tell we are having guests on Sat.
Fidget good luck with lodger doing watering. Was going to say I'm availabe to come and stay, I'd also feed wildlife and bring some Stella You wouldn't need the frost stat I'd sit in GH and drool. Alas he will be back in Oz. You might have been a bit light on plants when I left
Best go check under gardener isn't watering the peas that need pulling out later today.
BM, i swear your post about adam ant wasnt there when i posted, how odd! Neither for me thanks, afraid im a sucker for muscles!
Put him to work fidget! Give him a diet coke, you have a new income stream!
Anything but ironing DD!
Yvie, naughty lady, you will have do drink some of that wine tonight to numb the pain
BM, stop pretending to be all innocent! Or is that OL leading you astray???

Yviestevie don't suppose you fancy opening that bottle now? You made me really fancy a drink!
Thanks for the compliment BM, but among the many talents I do not have, understanding french is one of them. On a good day I do english.
I see you girls are getting a bit naughty, I shall have to revisit my dream of Kylie in her gold hot pants helping me with the weeding.
Get that bottle open, I am ready for a drink.
When you don't even know who's in the team
