Thanks Dove, Lizzie and SGL! Yes Dove, it was indeed lovely up there... don't tell my OH, but I wouldn't have minded leaving it another week or two before returning. Will post some pics eventually, but can't do so from this machine.
Just seen the hydrangea discussion. They grow beautifully around here too, with all our rain, and the blue ones are very blue. I love my paniwhatsit too, SGL - mine's 'Brussels Lace', delicate white flowers fading to soft pink. It gets butchered every spring, to just a few inches, to keep it a manageable height. No room for the macrophylla ones.
Must stop typing and open the mountain of post,,,
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Good morning all Hope you're catching some zzzzzzzzzs now Pdoc.
I think the problem is that we don't get as much exercise in the winter - consequently the 'tired and sleepy' hormones don't happen so much.
I have some visits planned this afternoon - Aged Ps first then late afternoon I'm making one of my occasional visits to a young lady who lives in sheltered accomodation and taking her Christmas present. She's very excited at the moment as a lad she was at school with is moving into the complex today - he was always very popular with the girls
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
