No sign of blue boa here Chicky, just checked. Forgot to check the lillies though will go back out in a minute. Its sunny here but the wind is really cold.
Thought it was odd that Verdun wasted £50 on a bet, didn't seem like him at all. Didn't get the joke though.
Kef, glad you had a good time. Couldn't bear the thought of 4 great danes in one house. Two westies was bad enough re dirty paw marks etc. Love dogs but imagine clearing up after them.
Not got anything planned in the garden today might just have a relaxing one.
Morning guys, cold and pouring with rain here in Bonnie Scotland, so think its a day in doing washing and housework, or get my face stuck into garden books, now that sounds like a plan
I'm potting up my dahlias today Pdoc - they're going to have to live outside on the terrace from now on. While I'm doing it I'm watching a pair of robins coming back and forth taking live mealworms from containers on the edge of the terrace. They're getting very daring, and I've a suspicion their nestlings are getting very fat indeed
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Just been out with George, flippin heck that wind is cold! Despite my hoodie and two coats
OH brought himself one of those spatchcock (?) Chickens in bbq and boozy something sauce, just put it in the oven, bound to come out burned or underdone!
Isn't that a chicken that looks as though it's been run over bekkie? Sounds a nice sauce though. Hope your ribs have recovered now.
I've grown Bishop's Children from seed this year and at the moment they are on a windowsill in an unheated room. There is no room at all in the cold frame or mini plastic greenhouse. Will have to think more carefully next year about how many seeds are sown
Glad you had a nice weekend KEF, despite the dogs.
Believe it or not the first time I encountered Lily beetles was last summer in Cheshire. So why oh why did I decide to try to grow lilies up here this year? (Perhaps you'd better not answer that).
Little sis came over for a browse round the garden She likes, and approves of the "plans" - and tried to encourage me to get on with the plans - which I totally accept I should do Maybe tomorrow Also discovered that my tree peony (which I thought might have given up) has growth so am very happy
Hosta, I am glad that the mower is still intact, would recommend tee tree for burns
KEF, had a friend with 2 great danes and I thought that was too many for a house Glad you had a lovely time though Slobber though
More sitting in the garden today Have a friend coming over for lunch We shall be enjoying the sunshine
Ooo, spotted a Goldcrest in the garden today Which means that I probably didn't spot a wren when I thought I had!

Blowy with imminent rain here.
Managed to give lawns their first cut yesterday, they look slightly better for it.
Might start potting up the Dahlias today.
Have fun everyone.

Wet and Windy here today, no gardening will be getting done, might take the kiddo for a walk along the river.
On the upside, we definitely have a pair of Greenfinches, spotted them both on the sunflower seed feeder this morning.
