We'll be later Steve - but I'll keep an eye outimage

loved the squirrel storyimage.  If a spray works its easily solved though.  GW last night reminded me that a return trip to Heligan is long overdue - is it on your list for your jollies Dove ?

time for a browse and a cuppa.

Very tempting ... although we've promised ourselves that this holiday won't involve too much driving (after we've actually got there).  As OH doesn't drive he worries that it's not much of a rest for me.  We'll also probably have overnight stops on the journey down and back - usually I do it in one go but he's beginning to insist!  Maybe we'll get as far as Devon then stop for the night and have brunch at a GC if Hosta and Lyn can recommend one near them? image

    Morning all.

Beautiful day here, definitely one of those days for sitting and admiring the work done earlier in the year.

Love Helligan, we used to visit every year when we holidayed down there and each time there was something new to see.

We are off garden viewing tomorrow for a few days, visiting Sissinghurst and Great Dixter. Will be the first time at either for me.

Looking forward to hearing about your walk Fairy.

    Have a lovely day all.

Dove, Hubby and I are going on holiday 19th Sept. Staying on a farm just outside Okehampton. The previous 3 years we had stayed at a farm in  St Clether, just on the top edge of Bodmin. image

We keep saying we will go somewhere different, but we keep getting drawn down that way.image

    Enjoy your garden visiting everyoneimage

Oooh, I'd love some ice cream ........ but we had a big bowl each of coconut ice cream last night ......image

I had thought about mowing the lawns - I've given up thinking about it - it's too hot to mow lawns - 26+C

Do you remember that a few weeks ago a robin flew through the house into our sitting room and perched on the rocking chair? Just now a large green female Southern Hawker dragonfly did exactly the same thing - then it went to the window and was rattling about in the wooden blinds - fortunately I was able to open the window and shoosh it out without it being damaged.image

That seems quick Steve! Did you like Wisley? Have you any photos? Did you buy any plants? Did you meet anyone from here?
