Potatoes, parsnips and carrots peeled, bread, cranberry and apple sauces made, forcemeat stuffing made, stock made ready for gravy, pigs in blankets made and sprouts and chestnuts prepped .................... anything else ........................... oh yes, a meringue roulade made and cooling ready to fill with raspberries and cream and roll up tomorrow. Gertie Goose is in the garage ............ waiting for Christmas .......
OH came home from the Farm Shop with nuts and chocolates so we won't starve this evening - I shall have a shower in a few minutes and then find myself something a little alcofrolic

Wow - that's impressive Dove. How do you keep the peeled potatoes, carrots and parsnips - are they in cold water? Anything to save time tomorrow would be a help.

Wine? G&T here, beer for OH - jacket tatties in the oven to have with gammon and some Christmas chutney - a gift from a foodie friend who was once upon a time chef to royalty (not ours) and more to the point, chef at Bodnant Castle - apparently it contains lots of booze - we've not opened it yet
Smoked salmon blinis for nibbles tomorrow morning when family arrive - we've got a whole side of special smoked salmon sent by another foodie friend who works at a smokehouse in Scotland - we're very lucky
