Ferterilla imperialis??  they haven't out the name on the screen and he has a lovely Edinburgh accent so I can't quite catch it (that isn't sarcastic I do really like the Edinburgh accent just not speaking Latin image). Going to have a google.

They are and they look like upside down tulips (I know they aren't i just couldn't think of another way to describe them!)

Lily, are you putting your Aubergines outside?  If so are you putting them under cloches or are you going to risk it?

We don't have a GH but our shed is a 'potting shed' with a large sloping window on one side. We were going to keep them in there and hope for the best. Not grown them before, but hopefully will be ok. Were you growing them in your GH?

Well, I was growing them for the veg patch but have read in the last week or so that they need to be warm so maybe 'up north' is not the best climate, unless of course we have a summer like last year's.  I won't have any room in the GH, I've already grown too many cucumbers and tomatoes and will need to risk some outside, also keeping  some chillies in the GH..........I should have got a bigger one, daren't tell OH!!! We have room too it was just down to cost image

Oh dear, we cheated really and just bought a couple of plants from the gc. So we are hoping the toms and aubergines will be ok in the shed. Also got tumberling toms for outside too. Bet you could squeeze them in, maybe you will have to put little cabint in the shed....oh and your supply of wine.........er I mean milk bottles image
