Back from the choir lunch party. Really enjoyed it, nice people, lot of chatter and some songs and jokes told. Wonderful Bring and Share lunch, huge selection.
On the way back we stopped at 2 GCs on the west of Périgueux to leave some flyers for the Open Gardens. One had the Charlottte and Anais strawberries that I wanted and the other had the little leaf Lilac Syringa microphylla 'Superba' that I have been looking for for some time. That second nursery, a small privately run one, was very interested in the Open Gardens.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
So very windy out there GH felt as if it would take off so retreated indoors and have managed to get an ancient sewing machine to work (for daughter) so to make sure it wasn't a fluk I have been edging bunting flags - done 20 so far, about the same to go. But next installment will use my own machine.
It has also kept me out of mischeif, doing things I shouldn't
4 Great Danes in one house -
I saw a pup available the other day, still can't get my head around what it would look like or how it happened - a cross between a St Bernard and a collie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had a wonderful day out there - even got to the end of my to-do list
Pleased to report that Fidget's Molly is looking magnificent here, with 5 flower buds. Will take pics when they bloom. Fidget via KEF delphiniums are also developing their first true leaves. And Nut pulsatillas are nice and leafy, with a flower on the way.
