Was out of the meeting in time for the GC before it closed for lunch. Got compost and some trellis for my latest clematis.

Not just dogs who eat Lego, my daughter did when she was about 2, managed to rescue some from the potty! She was my 3rd child so it was hard to keep it out of reach.

Sounds like you made a quick exit too Lizzie, well done, I never seem to get out of a French meeting in less than 3 hours - and that's a quick one. image

More cleaning this afternoon - maybe, still have my book to finish by Friday for Book Club though, think that might just be more important. image

Enjoy your rest Runnybeak and perhaps Barney might pass you by if your lucky Verdun. image

DD, it was 2 1/2 hours, got out before it finished, the rest didn't really concern me anyway.

  • Amazing how much they find to say isn't it - and usually an actual decision is still never made. image

    Good night Pat.

    Afternoon all.

I'm feeling very smug as I've just emailed the accounts to the accountant.

The rain has passed but the wind is now picking up. I've been up and tied the polytunnel handles together as they get the full blast of westerly winds.

Having just watched the lunchtime news ,it seems clear that not only was the Russian plane brought down by a bomb, but that they had inside help at the airport. Maybe we won't be going to Sharm? who knows.

Committees should always consist of an odd number, and three is too many.  That way, things get done.

    Afternoonzies all,

Hair suitably quaffed, I got back to squeeze in a wee bit of gardening until rain stopped play. Still, important jobs done like cannas up, (by eck those fellas have grown since I bought them!image They iz mazzoovive

Also dug my nana up and dumped the stump in the bin, my old bin from the kitchen that is, new one now installed and looking all shiny

Rain has not stopped as I hoped, so no bulbs planted, and drying off indoors with seafood paella for dinner image

    Afternoon.

Productive morning putting loose things away so they don't get blown around tonight, planting cyclamen, potting on 25 penstemon cuttings, lifting the last of the pelargoniums from their summer pots & replacing with spring bulbs and sweeping out the shed.

Also had a big Waitrose delivery. Spend £100 - gulp - get £20 off from WR and £10 cash back from my bank. Have purchased some Christmas presents in the order so think it was a pretty good deal image

Weather is now settling in image so a quick walk up the road to post an overdue birthday card then time for a shower and change the bed.

We're having bacon tonight as well Runny - OH will have fried egg & oven chips. I'll have cauli cheese and chips.

Chocolate and salted caramel eclairs snuck into the WR order for dessert - well - I was up to £99.40 so just needed to spend an extra pound to get the deal. Would have been rude not to... image

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
