  • A friend of mine, lives about 25miles away hasn't got any electricity because of the storm last night, and her cooker is electric.  Has been told they'll be without power until the weekend. She's hoping a neighbour will let her cook the turkey tonight and then have it cold tomorrow.

Carols from King's has been ousted now that we've had dinner. I was outvoted image

I expect it'll be on tomorrow or something. Did they do 'Crown of Roses'? The most beautiful thing ever.

Roast potatoes were good...even my kids  have to admit I make a good roastie! They didn't leave me much for tomorrow though...I'll have to make do with Matchmakers for dinner instead..image I feel fat and cheap now as a friend used to say image

    Think I can find you a cookie lily...yes, here's a couple.....

Merry Christmas everyone & a big special KEF hug for those who are alone tomorrow, for whatever reason.

My veg all prep'd and in plastic bags in fridge. Only few things to make tomoz'. List made of what to take, including Christmas music.

Just had Gammon for meal & now having a rest before I rifle the fridge for chocolates.

Have a lovely time all & hope everyone soon has power back on.

BFN...might be back later if I get a bit merry.

Nice sentiment KEF - many will be alone because they simply have no one and that's very hard when everyone else is full of festive cheer.  I'll join you in sending hugs to everyone who's on their own.

Beat you to it for the choc snaffling...Quality Street and a cup of tea...heaven! Having to fight youngest daughter for the toffees though...image

Hope your friend gets her turkey done lily. Does she have a gas hob? I've done barbecues at New Year before - perhaps she could try that!

    Happy Christmas no expert image
