These scammers are vile aren't they? Saw on the news earlier an elderly lady and husband who were conned out of around 9 grand - their total savings. The bank isn't interested - what a surprise - because they authorised it. They get a phone call and are told it's Talktalk wanting to compensate them by putting money into their account. I can't put here what I think about these cretins.

Sun's out here too but I doubt it'll be too warm where I'm going - should I take a woolly hat, or will my 'buff be enough'  image

5'c here and after words at work on Friday (very nearly left) I'm enjoying four days off to properly recover from my recent illnesses. Loaded up with vitamins and what not. I have learnt not to take my peppermint capsules at the same time as a cod liver oil tablet: hiccups taste awful!

    Morning all.

    Bright sunny morning here.

The clocks have changed , so it's officially Winter and I hate it.

I've no idea why "they" change the clocks to make it light at 6.30am when most folk are asleep and dark at 5.30pm when virtually everyone is awake. I'm sure the electricity suppliers love it though.

gggrrrr Have I said before I hate winter??

    Devon.
  • Morning Clari, I think you should have left on Friday, that job seems to be nothing but trouble for you, such a shame because obviously could/should be a great role. image

Jo, I have a letter in my bag for a neighbour that was wrongly put in our mailbox last Thursday, three times I have driven past her box and forgotten to put it in. Hope it's not too important. image

Kef enjoy your walk, steady away is my motto.image

    Devon.
  • Good morning to all.

Nice bright start to the day, at least it will be a bit lighter in the mornings for a short while.

Pat I soooo want some of your lovely heat........please!. My arthritis is now really beginning to grumble as this horrid cold temperature seeps into my joints, had an awful night so am now dosing up with pain relief before heading outside to what promises to be a lovely gardening day.

    Hugs from me too Joe.

Fairy, enjoy your walk thankfully you have lovely weather for it. We usually do one good walk each wk end but for some reason we have not managed one this time ( probably why my joints are protesting!). It is really heartbreaking to hear people ( esp. the elderly ) being scammed by such awful low-life.

Verdun, glad you had a lovely walk with Spike. Two pairs of socks on here, oh how I hate cold feet!

DD, sounds great your jogging club ,wish I was over there and living nearby-have fun!

Lily, hope your water probs. get resolved soon. We are having 24 new houses built up the lane in the near future and although they should not pose any problem to us ( we are at the far end of a no through lane),I do have concerns about all the new pipe work upheaval!

Dove, hope you have a good .

Hi to everyone else I may have overlooked, have a good day and keep safe x

We had that torrential downpour around 7pm - loads of leaves all over the road and pavement outside now.
